Getting Started
1. FIRST WORKOUT IS FREE. Come to any one of our regular scheduled classes during the week. It is not necessary to contact us ahead of time. We always have enough coaches to train you during your first free workout. We also encourage you to come in and just watch a workout or two to see what Crossfit is all about. First and foremost, we want you to experience the community and the quality of coaching at Pearland Crossfit before making your decision to join the team.
2. NEW MEMBERS MANDATORY CLASS: New Members MUST attend a CrossFit Skills/Elements Session (not necessary if you are joining our bootcamp class). This program is on the 2nd and 4th Saturday at 9 am and lasts 2 hours (We occasionally close on Saturdays so please make sure we will be open). During these sessions, you will fill out paperwork, learn about Crossfit, our coaches, given a tour of the gym and most importantly you will learn the skills necessary to integrate smoothly and safely into our regular group workouts. This session will include specific skill training and practice, as well as a CrossFit WOD. The class will be smaller than our regular classes, consist only of new members and it will be extremely supportive and informative with plenty of personal attention.
After attending the Mandatory Crossfit skills session you will be able to attend any of our regularly scheduled group workouts.
3. ONE ON ONE SESSIONS: Some people prefer to learn in a one-on-one environment. We can make that arrangement. We will cover the same skills as our CrossFit Skills Sessions.
4. PRIOR CROSSFIT EXPERIENCE: For those people that have been doing CrossFit for a while, either at another Affiliate or on their own, we offer a test-out option. You can contact us and we will schedule a time for you to come in and demonstrate your competence. If you demonstrate competence in Crossfit Skills you can join our group workouts immediately.
